See the spider at the top of this web? In shamanism, Spider is the weaver of all things, and she doesn’t spin from outside the pattern. She lives in it. Every thread she lays is part of her own body. No supplies, no permission, just the silk she already carries.
Creativity works the same way. What you spin comes from inside you, then joins the larger web, where it touches someone you may never meet.
That’s the teaching. River, crow, oak, and human are all strands of one silk, and none of us is watching from the edge. Rain moves through roots, roots feed the fungi, fungi feed the trees, and the trees breathe for us. Tug anywhere and the whole web hums, even out to the far-off stars caught in its strands.
Spider doesn’t panic when the web trembles. She listens. She feels who is connected to what, and she tends the threads.
Try this today: Go outside and touch one living thing, a tree trunk, a leaf, the ground. Say “thank you, relative,” then stay still long enough to feel what answers, the way Spider would.
