The Lucky Lion’s Gate Portal is more than 8:8 especially this year.
The Lion’s Gate is an annual astrological window centered on the alignment of the sun, Sirius, and Earth, that’s long been treated as an especially potent time for setting intentions and calling in what you want.
Everyone talks about August 8th like it’s the whole story. It’s not. The Lion’s Gate opened today, July 28th, and stays open through August 12th. That’s over two weeks of threshold, not one loud day.
And this year, the threshold is deeper than usual.
Jupiter, the planet of expansion, luck, growth and all good things moved into Leo just weeks ago, and stays there for a year.
That alone is rare. Layer on top of it: the lunar nodes just shifted, North Node into Aquarius, South Node into Leo, opening an eighteen-month cycle of moving from what’s familiar toward something more collective, more communal.
And four days after the portal’s peak, a total solar eclipse lands in Leo. Boom! a hard stop, a real ending, right as this window closes.
Numerologists are calling 2026 a Triple-8 year. Astrologers are calling it something rarer: a stacking of real astronomical events that doesn’t happen often.
As a triple Leo, sun, moon, and rising, I am feeling the energy strongly in dreams, the liminal and in my 3-D reality.
Whatever language you use, this isn’t just Leo season doing its usual thing. Something is genuinely different this year.

- One line, one sentence, one image.
- Then stop checking on it. Stop reopening the note to edit it, stop asking whether it’s working. The gate doesn’t need your supervision. It needs your trust.
